Amy Rickard was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She was trained in classical ballet and performed with The Boulder Ballet for six years.  Amy also studied art and pottery privately for four years.  She went to New York City where she studied all forms of dance including tap, ballet, hip-hop, and modern.  When she returned to Colorado she attended Metropolitan State College where she completed her degree in Hospitality, Meeting and Travel Administration.

Amy has taken her love for movement and her artistic talent and combined them to create her company Art Arabesque.  She completed three years as a goldsmith apprentice with J.Petet Designs in Monument, Colorado.  She currently is focused on her own designs and collaborations.  Amy has shown her work at a variety of different art shows throughout Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and Wyoming including the Crested Butte Arts Festival, the Fourth Avenue Spring Street Fair, and Art Fair Jackson Hole.  She received the People’s Choice Award at the 2007 Blues Festival and Art Show at River Run in Keystone, Colorado.
